I was up early today and had the uuuuurge to blog about what I had been up to yesterday. I'm seldom this industrious so I thought I'd better get down to doing it before cobwebs start building up on this space. So, all my friends hate me right now cuz I am so (uber is an understatement here) free and I'm doing many things that most would not have the luxury of time to do, like making cards/gifts for friends whose birthdays are coming up!
Sooooo, 27th November sees the birthdays of two of my dearest girls. Horny will be having her surprise on the day itself, so I worked on Maggie P's surprise first! It's gonna take at least 2 weeks for this to get to her in Taiwan and I'm so late in sending this. Well, I tried to shirk it to my lack of time/procrastination/sloth but it's unpardonable cuz I am, well, so free. BAH anyway I spent 3 hours doing it and I haven't done something like that in AGES. So pwetty please, gimme some credit :D
Actually I did the frame more than a week ago but haven't put in enough effort to go develop the pictures.
I can't thank my Cheena roots enough, or I won't be able to manage a card full of Chinese words. Or you could say that I'm a genius :) I also thank the Education System for compelling me to take HCL since P1 (yes, I hear you, "What horror!") and my Mom for putting me through Art classes when I was younger. Now I'm hoping Maggie doesn't read my blog; at least I don't think she does, that's why I'm posting these pics here!
After busying myself with the card, I went on to work on something in the afternoon. First, lemme ask you a question. What do you do when you have half a bunch of (very ripe) bananas, a girlfriend who is going crazy studying for the exams, and another who's not feeling too well and could do with some cheering up? Well, MAKE BANANA CHOCOLATE MUFFINS! :D
I love how the second batch of muffins rose to such perfect little domes :) If you were wondering, the little appliance at the back is the smallest rice cooker ever. My family eats a bird share of rice for dinner.
And how could I not take a picture with my babieees! They were so fluffy and not underbaked so I was extremely pleased with the results. They tasted soooo good fresh out of the oven, even Sean said so! I had a muffin for breakfast this morning and I wanted to take a picture of its fluffy insides. Alas, it was difficult to grapple with a camera in my LEFT hand and the half-eaten muffin in my RIGHT. Should've done it the other way round but I gave up after one shot.
So that wrapped up my not-so-boring Tuesday. I'm gonna be working really hard on my bakes this December or I won't have much time to do so next year. I'm thinking of what to bake for Christmas, what do you think? :) Can't wait for the BIY course with Bets where we get to learn how to make Chocolate Fudge Cake! Hmm I'm thinking if I should get a new cake tin since I need to source for Almond Powder for Friday anyway. I'm soooo excited!
Celebrate narcissism!
Okay I'll be off to pay for my Black Lace Bodycon (Woohoo!), shower and head out for my lunch date :) Toodles and have a Wonderful Wednesday!
BAKE/COOK FOR ME WHEN I AM BACK IN SPORE. ok thank you. :)
